Adeboye’s ‘resignation’ – FG suspends FRC law

The Federal Government has suspended the dubious law which drove ‎Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye to venture down as the National General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The Corporate Governance Code, which was authorized by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC), would see other otherworldly heads additionally resign.

In an announcement discharged on Monday by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, he said the code was suspended keeping in mind the end goal to do an itemized audit of its application.

The announcement issued by the Minister’s Strategic Communication Adviser, Constance Ikokwu, read to a limited extent: “The Corporate Governance Code issued by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria has been suspended, pending a nitty gritty audit, broad counsel with partners and reconstitution of the leading group of the FRC.

“Government stays focused on reestablishing and upgrading market certainty and enhancing the Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria.

“Government is focused on fortifying FRC and improving its ability to satisfy its center order.
